The name “Light Roadster” really says it all. This bike is the most versatile, well equipped, comfortable machine for everyday and every where riding. This bike can be described as long, low, stable and comfortable [even for long rides] and with a level riding position that gives the perfect combination of balance of all the pressure points [saddle, pedals and grips].

The LR has a fine compliment of components that not only perform well under all conditions, but enhance your riding and commuting experience to the point where you may make this “the only bike that you want to ride”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This handcrafted, custom fitted [to your body measurements], TIG welded True Temper steel frame and segmented steel fork is built to your body size and flexability as well as correct crank and stem length. The main design is based on a 700c x 35mm tire [32mm an option], but can also be built for 26″ x 1.75 wheels, 24x 1.75″ and 20 x 1.75″. 

The LR can be fitted with a variety of drive trains to suit your terrain and physical capabilities. The mainstay of the drive train choices is the Shimano Alfine 8 speed internal gear hub. This choice of hub gives a very good low and mid range gearing with the no-nonsense shifting and no maintenance. I gear these hubs with a 27″ to 83″ gear range for good hill climbing.

You can also opt for a single speed  fixed or freewheel $3,235.00 or a Rohloff 14 internal gear version $4,635.00  All ANT frames are equipped with disc brake slider dropouts, that work with both Alfine 8 speed and Rohloff 14 speed hubs, so you can change your drivetrain needs at a later date.

Some of the features on the LR are the ANT made steel stem with brass bell mount, a Chris King headset [made in USA] WALD full metal fenders and handlebars[made in USA], Brooks leather saddle , dual leg kick stand [or sidestand], chainguard and disc brakes.

  

 The real stand out and useful equipment are the hand built disc brake wheels with powder coated rims and a front Shimano dyno hub sending power to the B&M LED headlight  and the B&M  fender mounted tail light [one of the best lighting system ever]. As a secondary headlight I use a Planet bike Blaze .5 watt LED AA battery light, which also works well for road side repairs etc…

 

 

Both of the head lamps are attached to the included front flatbed rack, with lights mounted below, protected and out of the way as well as giving great road lighting. This rack can carry a bag of groceries and any other items you do not want to carry on your back. This rack is used in conjunction with a Delta bungee net to hold down most anything.

An ANT made rear carrier is included with the bike. The rear carrier has the same rounded style to match the front rack and is eqipped with a battery B&M Toplight LED light.

 

Each bike has a brass acid etched ANT name plate with no other obnoxious logos…very clean and sedate.

You have a choice of 21 stock powder coat colors for the frame, fork, stem, rims and racks. I also have an additional color chart with many many colors if you don not find what you are looking for in the 21 tubes. 

You have a choice of either Black or Brown for the saddle, tires and grips.

The handmade steel ANT stem and racks come as either black or silver or your choice of the 21 ANT colors.

The fenders, chaingaurd and handlebar can be powder coated at an additional cost. You can have everything the same color or mix and match to personalize your look.

With all these color options you can really define your own look. Bright, earthy or classic. Have a two tone look of compatible colors or go with an all inclusive look of one color…or of course the classic black ANT.

This bicycle can also be built as a step through frame [Ladies frame] at no additional cost.
