So you fixed gear men think your pretty tough…take a look at this.

Kinda makes a trackstand seem a bit juvenile, doesn’t it? 🙂
And why everyone should ride fixed! The control, sense of balance, aesthetics …
Oh come on Dario. Fixed fun and I admire people who take on the challenge. But you would not say that every one walking down the street ought to have the grace and control of a ballet dance en pointe.
The beauty in bikes is their combination of simplicity and adaptability. No reason to impose on form on everyone.
but wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if everyone DID have that much grace? should it be imposed, NO, but wow, it’d be fun to watch.
sorry to say, but this sucks.
No matter if these girls have skills ( and they definately have), Kunstradfahren (the german name of that very german sport) is one of the most annoying things that was ever invented. I am german and I tryed this sport out as a kid.The contests really suck. You are always riding indoor. Always! And there are more rules to keep than in figure skating. The tricks and the culture have not changed in the last 100 years and the bikes neither (except some are made of aluminium and have belt drive).I choose the BMX Bike and culture almost 30 years ago and I am glad with that decision. Because things have changed over the years. The fixed gear culture is a little bit like that. Although It hardly makes sense to do BMX moves on a 700c it`s just a hole lot of fun.
